Outdoor Concerts
Waipu Caves Farm Park is a privately owned conservation and recreation park. We do a range of activities including camping, cave tours, rock climbing, school camps, sporting events and concerts inside our cave. Starting in January 2027 we will be doing outdoor concerts in a purpose built amphitheater with terraced grass seating and a flat dance area in front of the stage.
The space is big enough to take 500 people seated and on picnic blankets.
Running events is nothing new for us, but outdoor concerts will be the next thing we do. We will start small with a late afternoon concert for 400 people on Sunday 24th January 2027. We expect we will get some learning from it before we move to the next one.
Sunday afternoon, 24th January 2027
Three bands plus several young performers we call Rising Stars will perform from 3pm until 7pm. Butter Wouldn't Melt from Wellington, Albi & The Wolves from Mangawhai and Hot Diggity from Whangarei will perform for 1 hour each plus the Rising Stars.
Total performance time will be 4 hours.
Food & Drinks
Food trucks will be there from early afternoon.
Alcohol, Drugs, Smoking and Vaping
This is BYO Beer and Wine. There will not be alcohol sold onsite.
Don't bring or use drugs here. You don't need to get stoned.
Smoking and Vaping is normally excluded from all our events, however we will have a designated location so you can.
