Set in a valley of karst limestone with over 200 acres of very diverse native bush, 2km of rocky bottom stream, lots of fluted limestone rocks and caves, you’ll appreciate the masterpiece of nature.  Conservation and management of the natural environment means there are many rare creatures and birds which perform a dusk and dawn chorus.

Come as a day visitor or stay in your motorhome, caravan or tent.

There is rock climbing, bush walking, biking and more to be enjoyed.  You can have a guided cave tour or just relax or have an ice cream, chips, lollies and cold drinks from our small shop/office.

At Waipu Caves Farm Park, kids and adults connect within nature.  There are trees to climb with rope swings and the river to explore and play in.  There are rocks everywhere to climb on, bike on the farm roads and walk in the bush.

There is no constructed playground, no TV room or wifi and minimal cell phone coverage. 

About 100 acres is used for low intensity mixed farming with orchards, gardens and livestock. This return to a more holistic and less intense model of farming is more environmentally sustainable with a sharing of the ecosystem for nature and humanity which generates a better mental and physical wellbeing.  The property is off grid with solar energy, providing power for the owners house, workshops and the entire camp infrastructure.    Edited by Ian 21 May 2023
