There are 7 ways to get to us off SH1 (State Highway 1) and below in detail is the 3 most logical and easy ways.

From the North, Whangarei. 

We are 16km from SH1 at Oakleigh travelling generally South.

Marked in red in image below.

Heading south on SH1 at Oakleigh turn right onto Springfield Rd (this is about 200m before, North of Caltex Oakleigh). Travel for 9.5km on seal, passing several side roads.  At the intersection of Ormiston Rd on the left the road becomes gravel and you continue veering to the right on Springfield Rd for a further 1.5km and then turn left onto Waipu Caves Rd (this is at the junction with Mangapai Caves Rd to right) and travel for 5.7km.  Go past the public Waipu Cave, pass our sign showing you are 300m away from our main entrance (gate 1) , pass our gate 2 entrance, over the wooden one lane bridge, then our main entrance, gate 1 is on the left.  

You can also come off SH1 at Mata on Salmon Rd across to Springfield Rd.

From the East, Ruakaka, One Tree Point, Marsden Cove. 

We are 11km from SH1 near Ruakaka travelling generally West.

Marked in black in image below.  Heading South on SH1 turn right into Doctors Hill Rd for 2.4km, then at the end at the T intersection turn right on Mountfield Rd and travel 5km, past Shoemaker Rd on left. You are now on Waipu Caves Rd and in another 500m go past Ormiston Rd on the right. Tar seal ends about 300m past Ormiston Rd.  Continue a further 2km past Short Lane on the right and Palmer Rd on the left.  You will see our brown sign showing we are a further 900m to our main entrance, gate 1.

You can also come in from SH1 onto Mountfield Rd opposite the truck weigh station and Urititi Beach Camp.

From the South, Waipu, Mangawhai or Auckland. 

We are 10km from SH1 at Waipu travelling generally Northwest.

Heading North on SH1 turn Northwest, left onto Shoemaker Rd or from Waipu side of SH1 on the Eastern part of Shoemaker Rd (urban area), cross SH1 in a Northwest direction onto Shoemaker Rd (rural area). 

Travel on Shoemaker Rd 5.8km, passing several side roads and 3 single lane bridges, to the T intersection at the end and turn left onto Waipu Caves Rd, then pass Ormiston Rd on the right, then continuing on the seal which will stop and become gravel. A further 2km on, past Short Lane on the right and Palmer Rd on the left, you will see our brown sign showing we are a further 900m to our main entrance, gate 1.   

You can also come from SH1 on Rosythe Rd (opposite the Northern entry/exit of Waipu of Nova Scotia Drive) then onto Mountfield Rd (as if coming from Ruakaka).

You can also come from SH1 on Millbridge Rd, opposite the Southern entry/exit of Waipu called The Braigh.
