Work Here
Waipu Caves Farm Park is a young and rapidly growing business in Northland, South of Whangarei.
We have a diverse focus including tourism, camping, outdoor recreation and education on the 320 acre private park.
Our clients include schools, youth groups, families on private booking, domestic and international tourists.
Clients may be day visitors or camp here and do outdoor recreation sometime run by us and sometimes run by themselves.
There are several positions available which are part time, full time and permanent.
Tour Guides for the Milky Way Glowworm Cave. Training will be provided but you are expected to have an interest in nature, conservation and science (you do not need a science degree, but have an understanding), you must have the perfect balance between listening and talking (if you are very quiet or the other extreme, love to talk and are a chatter box this job is not for you).
Outdoor Instructors for Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Adventure Caving and other outdoor recreation and education activities (archery, orienteering, team building games, airsoft and paintball, confidence course and more). We need at least 2 of these and this role will likely overlap other roles, that is you will be doing mixed tasks. You are expected to be fully qualified or be well on the way to being qualified for climbing and abseiling. Caving quals are a bonus but not essential.
Camp Office/Café and camp maintenance.
All people are expected to have an interest in outdoor recreation, nature, conservation, have experience in their field of work, be able to work at least half of weekends and public holidays (these work days are shared between everybody). You will not do drugs, or smell of cigarettes/tobacco.
We have very high standards and reward those that perform well.
